Is there any way I can change my character model for a multiplayer map in Halo 2 vista? Preferably with Gravemind 1.5 as that's what I'm most comfortable modding with.

There are no other bipeds available in the MP maps; so no. Although Ambiguous can be used to edit the shader of the character so that they could have different textures/colors. There is a guide on this page:

Ambiguous alpha gives me exceptions everytime I try to run a map saying it has broken strings.

Are you running Ambiguous as an Admin?

Yeah I am. The exception says "No instance of an object is specified"

Then you need to update your .Net through Windows Update.
