Is their any one that can make a map for me with my ideas (if they work)? Because i only got into this this year and i cant under stand how to make one if you can help send a private Message Please

Sorry bro, I highly doubt someone is gonna do it for you. But look around the site for tutorials which will assist you in the making of it. I know this because tons of threads like this are created every year and although I have a date near my name that says I've joined recently, I've changed accounts and have been here since 2010.

Thanks for replying Ive looked at totorials and it doesnt help me understand it and im using a computer provided by the school and i cant install the proper program. i have HEK but when i open it, it comes up with uninstal halo CE can you help with that.

Sorry dude, but no one here will be making a map for you. And if you can't use the programs I honestly doubt you'll be able to either. Sad truth, but truth none or less

I can do it for you shoot me a PM of what you want. I'll try my best.
But you should be doing it yourself, I really hope that you examine the product I make to help make your own original work.

It also takes light to cast shadows.

ok what do you mean by pm and im having trouble with my Gmax its telling me please check your settings by using the -H comand line.(i need gmax to go by a totorial)

To make it easier take screen grabs and post them so we can see your errors. HEK is a bit of a pain to wrap your head around when getting started.

Anyways, to upload pictures you need to have a site that hosts the pictures to startout with. You can get a free account at places such as imageshack, photobucket, or really anywhere else. The internet is vast. To embed your image, you'll notice a small image in the post area, . this is a guided image option. Of course, you can just toss [ img ] URL [/ img ] (minus all those spaces). I believe dennis has you wait 10 days before you can embed images.

That window you described earlier.. That's what you get at the end of the HEK installer. In your HCE folder, you will have 3 programs. Guerilla for editing tag files, Sapien for placing items around your map and such, and Tool for converting files around (Like models to tags, tags into maps, etc). Tool runs through the Command Prompt, the rest have proper GUIs.

Also, why are you trying to do this at your school? Does your mommy not allow you to use the computer at home? Study your classwork and stop loafing. Learn to do research. It's a great new and crazy thing that schools do these days.

Alright, I'm cool with people who ask questions. I love helping people out when they need answers.
But when someone doesn't even try to solve anything, and instead asks question after question that could be solved in a simple web search, that is just being stupid.
Also, the fact that he's doing this on school computers. School is not the place for computer gaming, especially trying to make maps and messing with files on the school network to do so. That works out badly for the students, and is detrimental to the learning environment.
That's my beef.

ok i know i suck but im on loan of a queensland goverment computer provided by the school and im aloud to install programs allso uploading an image was to this forum i allready know how to upload pics but not to this forum and im sorry if i ask a lot of questions if ists a problem asking dumb questions i should just give up on it.

To post an image you'll need to setup an account on a site like Photobucket. From there you can copy the img URL, when you come to post you'll see a little icon with a mountain on it. Click that and than paste the URL, that will link the image into your post.

It's ok, it's completely normal for new people to ask questions. If you run into problems just post on forums and hopefully we'll be able to help you



I really think you should just learn how to create maps for yourself, trust me. You'll learn how to eventually if you try hard enough, all of us have been through these problems as well. I've asked that question before in your quote and nobody helped me, so I doubt you're not going to get any luck with it either. Besides, it feels awesome for yourself to see that you are able to make your own maps entirely by yourself. I know my map Cerazine is a bit crappy but I couldn't be any more proud of myself if someone else modelled the map for me.

TL;DR make it yourself. You'll learn how to eventually, i've been through all this as well.
