New vehicle eh?
Hmmmmm....
Well, this isn't NEW, but it would be new to Custom Edition.
How bout a Pelican that carries a Warthog (Like Halo 3 or Reach) and can deploy it into a battle area eg. Coldsnap, Bloodgulch etc.

Another idea would be some kind of covie dropship design.
I can work on a model for one of these if you like.

Right, got a new vehicle and an awesome new map.
Vehicle: like I said before, pelican that can pick up and deploy transports (including scorpion, warthogs, ghosts, mongooses etc) .
As for the map, UNSC Frigate Midsummer Night: The interior and exterior of the frigate (command bridge, hangers A1 and A2, barracks, engine room, corridors and many more).

And should I make it a crashed ship or one that is in space?

Ok. I have both a crashed map, based on Harvest during Covenant assault and a space one is alar to The Pillar Of Autumn in Halo Cea.
Harvest: you have crashed landed on Harvest after a brutal battle with a Covenant cruiser and are basically tasked with salvaging transports, weapons and anything useful and leading an assault on a covie hot spot.
Midsummer Night: A covenant carrier and a cruiser jump out of slip space right on you and you catch the carrier with her shields down, she is destroyed.
You must repell boarders and attack the enemy ship before The Midsummer Night and her crew are destroyed.

Cutscenes are still in work, but both are looking damn awesome at this point in development.
Thanks to you John 117 for the crashed ship answer, otherwise the map simply wouldn't exist!

Yaaay!!! I think harvest would be brilliant because nobody has done a map on HARVEST
before. it would be amazing!
the snow the destroyed bulkheads and the covenant i can just imagaine playing it now! LOL
but still I just cant wait!!
if your doing it sign me up to beta-test ;-P

Covenant Pulse layers impacting on UNSC ship hulls, it's all there.

Exactly, why no put them in a custom map?
The cutscene, only the slipspace transition was borrowed.
Pulse lazers actually look better during the fighting.
Any other BETA testers are welcome to ping me, but I really don't want anyone who is going to just try and bag the map out.
