I've seen a couple of suggested ways through google. I was just curious if any of you guys around here are on OS X and run CE regularly. How do you do it?

I Partitioned my MacBook Pro for dual boot (a la BootCamp) and I run most of my gaming-related things in Windows 7 on the secondary partition.

Thanks for that, Tiel. You're the man. I think that it is odd for PC to run "Gold" and CE to poorly run. Maybe a bit more research.

Thank you once again. I'm running OS X Lion, which won't run "PowerPC" apps. HaloDemoMods apparently made one capable of running on Lion, which I'm downloading now... Lakewood Campground wifi isn't the fastest either... :'(

They are until you start trying to run software that wasn't intended to be run on it and thats almost a decade old on a brand new 2012 high-end laptop. :D

No. 1200 (Was the list price before discounts). I got a 72 dollar discount from my girlfriend's step father (works at a local business, which gets discounts.) I also got a 100 dollar student discount. I also got a 100 dollar apple store gift card. Convenient for me, they made an error in ringing up all of the discounts and gave me 180 on the gift card. It's a 13 inch with all standard hardware. I bought it because every windows PC I have had experience with has gotten bogged down with viruses or has just started to become very, very slow within 3 years. My friend has a 17 inch Macbook Pro from 2007 and it still runs just as smooth as he got it from day one. That thing has been through a lot, too. I figured I'd make the upgrade. I have seriously just fallen in love. It runs so smooth. Edited by Corvette19 on Jun 21, 2012 at 06:28 PM

Let him get what he wants. If he wants a shiny mac that's not comparable to laptops of the same cost, then let it be so.

It's not about hardware. It's about lifetime. Also the OS just rocks. My ONLY quirk is that it doesn't run HCE. Everything else I just love. Edited by Corvette19 on Jun 21, 2012 at 07:54 PM

I would install WINE http://www.davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/
after installing wine, I know you can install halo custom edition. I accomplished that on my Ubuntu machine using WINE.
