I appear to be extremely stupid when it comes to server hosting. It's not my thing.
So, here's my problem. Last time I asked everyone here to help me with the server for I couldn't connect, you told me to move it over to a new computer. I was able to connect to my own server, and I was happy. But then arose a new problem.
This problem happens to be the simple fact that others cannot join my server. I tested my server for about an hour with some guy, rebooting it, forwarding ports, and not knowing what I was doing when I was forwarding them, then I realized that I could ask some people who actually knew what they would be doing when it comes to creating a server.
So, I can join my server, people can see my server. The problem is, other people cannot join my Halo CE dedicated server. How is there a way to let others connect to it. I would love to know.
Thank you for the help.

I don't know if this is a stupid suggestion, but....did you direct the router's port forwarding to the right computer? Because when you switched the server host to the new computer, the router's port forwarding probably does not change automatically, and you need to point the port forward settings to the new computer instead. I am suggesting this because I do forget to do so sometimes, and I spend hours attempting to fix the problem until I realized this error.
Also, if other people cannot connect, it is entirely possible that the problem in connection lies with them, not you.
Anyway, standard procedure for server connectivity issues (when other people can see the server): 1. Firewall on server computer: Exceptions checked and made? 2. Router's port forwarding: All ports forwarded (2302, 2303, your server ports etc) and to the right computer IP address? (type ipconfig in cmd on the server computer to see the IP address of the server computer, and make sure the router's port forwarding settings point to that IP address) Edited by sargejohnson on Jun 2, 2012 at 11:53 PM
