Would it be possible if I provided a soundtrack from the Aliens movie in an .MP3 format could someone possibly make it into a sound.looping tag so that I may use it in my maps?

Hey if it's alright, while we're on the topic of sound files, could I also get one converted real quick? My computer's acting tarded. It's this one: Tidal.wavThanks again. Edited by MoooseGuy on May 31, 2012 at 11:07 PM

The .wav file you have is not in the correct format; it won't convert. If you converted it from a .mp3 file, send me the .mp3 file and I can make the .sound and .sound_looping from there. You can tell it is not formatted correctly from the bitrate, which is much too high for a PCM 16 bit stereo .wav file (It should be 705 kbps). Edited by G_Maverick on May 31, 2012 at 11:18 PM

Precision pop songs aren't going to transition well into .sound looping tags. Regular pop songs can do it pretty well, but the electronic beeps and short rhythms in the song sound close to what "bumps" in an ogg .sound file sound like. Right now, the .sound file sounds a little bubbly. I'll send it to you, and you can tell me what you think. I would suggest going to a 320kbps .mp3 file. 256 is pretty close though, and again, this song needs high quality to sound good, something ogg vorbis just can't give. There's a reason songs like these weren't nearly as precise in the 90's. Here's the file; I'm pretty sure you'll be able to hear the bubbling. It's more of a feeling actually, you can just tell the .sound file is not very high quality. http://www.fileconvoy.com/dfl.php?id=g71ad764396af8d841180333063f85954ffe898Edited by G_Maverick on May 31, 2012 at 11:58 PM
