This is the official project thread for HMT.
We will be working to build Reach inspired Multiplayer and campaign maps.
Team List and roles:
Haloextreme117 (Overall project managment)
RippenBlades (Map Modeling)
LMT Heretic (Map Modeling, scripting, tag tweaking, texturing)
G_Maverick (Single-player mapping)
(Looking for more team members, post a reply if you want to join.)

Additional help (Not team members, but have helped us in some way and deserve credit):
Kirby (Scripting)


I will update this post when necessary.

where did this come from?
and how did i become part of it?
i've been messing around modeling a reach map for a while, but not as part of any group.
i've been doing it all on my own.

This sounds very cool. I'm great at placing ai with the correct behavior, even editing their intelligence through their tags. I'm great at scripting (it's not hard if you know what you're doing; lisp is just a series of functions) if Kirby can't always be reached, and I'm always available. I can create ".sound" and ".sound_looping" tags perfectly from .mp3 or other audio files. I can make ai perfectly drive vehicles as well. I've been doing this Halo thing for over a year now, and I can do just about everything, even cinematics, custom object names, chapter titles, nav points, you name it. If you'd like me to be a part of it, I'd love to join.

good of you to offer help towards this thread, but i really don't think there are any maps being modeled apart from a multiplayer 1 i'm messing around finishing, and a max file here on halomaps that is supposed to be the start of the sword base map.

haloextreme117 you should learn of scripting or guerrilla tag tweaking because everyone in the thread will start jumping and saying you dont do anything at all except to boss everyone else
and if you want i can help in making reach like maps maybe some guns

Oh well, Ally, I figured something was wrong when you weren't even aware of what HaloExtreme117 was talking about. All of my experience is in single-player-mapping, but hopefully, there are going to be more maps than this.

maybe start with images of something you are making/modeling that falls into this?

Might be pretty cool. Will you only be creating stock Reach maps, or will they be custom maps. (Some based off of forge, some built on your own with your own custom tags).

a good bit more has changed since that .giff, also i know it's not great and needs work like terrain surrounding it which is partly done, but hidden.
