the last time i added stuff to the map for the command to build the map was just,
tool build-cache-file levels\a30_map\a30_map.

seeing you have a .scenario there the tags must have added fine.

just type that command into tool and it should build your map.

That website probably has viruses in different files, not the one you're trying to download. My antivirus blocked mediafire, and I used it all the time without problems.

yeah i totally understand that, the threat only kicks in after the 5 second wait on the websites server preparing the file for download.

he only needs to type the tool command to build the map.
tool build-cache-file levels\a30_map\a30_map

okay so i went ahead and tried the .scenario, there are missing tags.

sky\sky_lumoria\sky_lumoria.sky
characters\cyborg_mp\cyborg_backpack_mp.biped
seanthelawn\halflife2\characters\headcrab\headcrab.biped

i don't bother with extracting tags so i wouldn't have them.

once you are finished trying to get 1up on each other, just help the guy if you can.
seeing he said the tags are added in another thread(in his folders)
then the only reason sshers1 wouldn't be able to build the map himself is if he had no hek installed.
so all he needs to do is type the tool build command guys.

edit: also sshers1 would you post the last part of the debug.txt in you're haloce folder, this will show why thing's aren't working for you.

okay that's fine sshers1 can you upload the map for me?
the .scenario is no good to me as i don't have the black head crab tags which stops me from sorting it out for you.

edit: nvm found a version of it.

I don't believe you people , you guys don't care about others i mean you care about yourself and not helping others and please if you don't want to help me then don't post on my thread your just think your a best editor you shouldn't think that anyways.

And plus you helped your niece you show her how to do it DUH , plus why do you care if your think your a best map maker and editor , ok then that's fine because end of the day you don't care about other people but yourself and that's the way you like it.

There are plenty of tutorials on the net that even a 7 year old should be able to understand.

Unfortunately, that statement isn't exactly true to generational loss of intelligence. Hiralis's niece may be intelligent but I've seen plenty of other 7 year olds who are badly brought up and are absolute morons considering their age.

I've also seen teenagers my age who act like I did when I was 6!

I'm sorry you have to be part of this generation, sir, and I'm sorry you were badly brought up. However, I see no reason for anybody to spoonfeed you by apologising for calling you an idiot, because that's what got us into this situation in the first place. ;)

Hiralis, Don't try to be a great guy and thinking your the best guy in this community also what are you doing is bullying, Don't try to bully these friend of mine.

His older than you Hiralis, He have no focus on modding that's why his not talented at it, But hell yeah when it gets you two in Halo Multiplayer you'll get pwn.

Try to put this Hiralis

" Respect members, How matter how below they are "

Sorry if you think I'm trying to put a war against you, I'm just protecting a friend.

I'm not going to respond if you try to humiliate me.

See, Hiralis your a great guy yourself but don't try to be such a big head that your better than anyone and don't tease/ bully to people below you, Even if your great at modding no one will respect you if you will try to bully them

okay sshers1 here is how i got it to build:

i dropped the .scenario into the levels folder.
open tool/cmd: type tool build-cache-files levels\c3-a30_beta02
hit enter, if it doesn't build for you then you need to fix the paths to the tags that show errors.

the tags pelican_base\pelican base blue.scenery
pelican_base\pelican base red.scenery
are tags i do not have, they are from some map. if you added them then you just need to fix the path to them using guerilla.
so basically fix he paths to the error tags and it will build no problem.
strange thing is i remember this map working as a30_map in tool build.

Or... instead of spoonfeeding him, try knife-and-forkfeeding him. ;)
HEK Tutorials

(Yes, I'm aware 'knife-and-forkfeeding' sounds retarded. However, due to lack of a better turn of phrase, I am forced to use such a ridiculous phrase. I apologise in advance of your criticism.)

i have tried getting him to do all these things in the past, idk why he won't read the hek and maybe learn more than what he needs at this point in time. learning in advance for future problems and projects is a good way to go.

sshers1 stop poisoning your blood and give your head a shake lol.

I thought scenario's built on other people's computers won't work with someone else's sapien, something about the checksums or something to that matter? At least that's what I've been told..

Be lazy and use a motor vehicle to enjoy the highlands roads properly.

Eh, the people are alright. Not as cool as the Welsh though. I fit in quite well in Scotland though due to being able to pronounce Welsh fairly easily. Welsh pronounciation is quite similar to Scottish pronounciation. :)

you add detail objects for the grass.

in sapien click on mission/game data/ then detail objects.
click edit types. in the window that opens click on add.
in the window that opens, go to the B40 levels folder.
you will see a file called b40_grass_bunch.detail_object_collection.
double click on that and click done.
in the last window click on okay, now left click to place them.
but look at the sapien window called tool, in there is the settings for the size etc of area that the grass will cover.
when you are finished close sapien and you will be prompted to save the .scenario
and the scenario_structure_bsp. click yes on both of them.

there has been worse in the world than a simple disagreement on the internet
it takes a big man to say sorry, good for you.

sshers1 have you got all the halo .scenario files etc all in your tags folder?
use hek+ to extract all the files from a single player halo pc map.
then take another look for the file to add the detail object.

i think this might be why you don't have the extra files.

(make sure you make a backup of your tags and data folder before any changes.))

if you added grenades as starting equipment, in guerilla just remove them.
edit: also did you enable all the game types and set the netgame flags for each game type?

then just run the tool commands to finish your map.
