Hey guys, i hate makin a topic for this, but i can't find any tutorial for this. I know how to add tags for use in sapien and how to edit globals in geurilla, but sometimes when i go to select a tag for, say a vehicle, it tells me it can'tfind the tags or something to that matter... I've only gotten 2 tags that worked for me so far :/ so yeah, any idea why this happens?

Might be helpful to post the debug.txt that's in your halo ce directory.

There, i see some things are missing, but it does that with almost every tag i add, I'm almost certain im putting them in the wrong folders, even though i always put a vehicle in the vehicle section of tags, a weapon in weapons, and so on

delete it in sapien then just open each part of that vehicle tag in guerilla and fix the paths to the parts missing. then re-add it in sapien.

the forum is here for helping and showing what people are doing, so it's not a problem asking for help. anything i couldn't find info on i just asked, or worked it out. if you can't open the map .scenario in sapien because of the tag errors then just open the .scenario in guerilla and remove the tag from in there. then open each part of the item in guerilla and fix any red text. this video kinda does well to explain how to fix tag errors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7DByy1GJeU

Yeah, i just don't wanna be one of those guys that expects everything to be done for him :P. But my problem isn't that sapien wont open, it opens up fine. But when i want to add a vehicle to my scenario, i go to add a tag to my scenario, i get a 'Whoops' and the error message says:
Not all the selected tags could be added to the palette. You selected one or more tags that couldn't be loaded correctly. Contact your nearest Bungie programmer for assistance.
I've added the vehicle into the vehicle section in my tags. But i noticed, there wasn't any 'cyborg.model_animations' with the tag... And i've been taught that you need that to enter the vehicle..
But it's odd, i get that 'whoops' error message everytime i try to add a tag i've extracted from a diff map or downloaded from halo maps, be it a vehicle, a weapon, an actor variant, or scenery. But like i said in the OP, I could just be placing everything in the wrong place :/ So far i've only gotten about 4 tags out of like 30 to work Edited by xKRONNiKx on May 6, 2012 at 05:45 PM

Alright, cool thanks man
Edit: It's all good now pretty much, I just started reading my debug.txt and seeing what was missing, then i re-extracted the tags properly. I think i got the hang of adding tags now, and if anything goes wrong now i know what to look for on debug, and how to fix it. Edited by xKRONNiKx on May 7, 2012 at 05:34 PM
