So I went to friends house and took a break from editing for a while and as soon as I get back I found out my computer restarted and now wont build my map because it says my file is to big and it was supposed to be 128 mb but it was 128.15? can any one tell me what to do it sucks being new at this.

have a look at the bitmaps and shaders in your maps folder, if you have extra bitmaps and shaders which you didn't end up needing in your bsp model then you should remove them. that will reduce space if you have 1's not needed.

by opening your material editor in whatever 3d program you used. then look at the bitmaps in there and what were used in your model/map. open your levels/tags/bitmaps folder and remove 1's which are not being used, then you can remove the shader that was used to test the bitmaps. remove the useless bitmaps from the data folder too.

If you have any bitmaps that are sized 1024 or higher, make them 514. Shrinking bitmaps really saved me heaps of space in my maps.
