Okay, I finally was able to stop procrastinating and get back to working on my list of projects which has only gotten bigger in that time.(Mass Effect and Armored Core didn't help that)

Anyway, I started working on my UI that I've been neglecting to do anything with in almost a month now. So far I haven't run into any issues until now. I added an extra button to the top of the list which worked fine with an old UI widget I used as a placeholder, but when I switch to my new widget (which was made by modifying the placeholder) the text disappears.

The only thing I can think of that would be causing the problem is the new unicode_string_list file I made but I'm not sure what I did wrong this time. I made it just like I did before using the string list editor but for some reason it's just not working. I keep thinking there was an extra step required when using that program but I can't figure out for the life of me what that was.

Pic of the problem:

when saving in the string list editor, did you directly select unicode_string_list as your save type, or just name it that? And when you linked it in the widget, you see below a number for the index of the string list. Top of the list is 0, each down increments by 1. Check both those things.

Yes I saved it directly as unicode_string_list. And I did check the index. The one I want is the second one on the list, and I set it to 1, although I think my string list has about 4-5 entries so if that was the problem the name wold just be wrong.

EDIT: Nevermind, Kirby helped me on Xifre. I had the alpha set at 0.
