Targeted and Firing

This post will probably be completely ignored, just like almost every other one I've asked recently, but I keep running into issues with command lists. At first I tried making a biped perform the command list, which didn't do anything. Then I spawned an initially braindead AI to follow the list, which I believe sort of works, but not like it should. The command list is set to tell the AI to fire once at a specific point directly under a hunter. However the AI just keeps firing until the hunter dies, then immediately starts killing the grunts around it. I have no idea why it acts on it own like this. It spawns initially braindead, and also with a command list that disable it's targeting and initiative. I really don't know what else to try. Video to better explain what I'm talking about: http://www.xfire.com/video/539186/

Strange... Don't know how to solve, I also have problems with command lists. Stupid marine won't follow "go-to" commands in a warthog...

From experience I can tell you the "shoot" command list doesn't act very reliable. If you have bad luck then for some reason the ai actor will simply abort his command list and do whatever he'd do otherwise. It is indeed very annoying!

But it's braindead so it's not supposed to do anything when not doing a command list...

Perhaps once a command list is run and ABORTED it makes the ai active somehow, I don't know tbh, it's mere speculation when you don't know how these things were coded in.

Do know any other way around this? Maybe something I could use instead of command lists?

Believe it or not you could just try recreating the squad and command list from scratch until it works. I've had to do this a few times until it randomly decides to work. It can be frustrating yes, but eventually you should find it'll decide to work...
Just keep trying is all I can tell you, there no real work-around as far as I know. Technically you could also try out that recorded animations application and record an anim for the biped that shoots at the ground, but I have no experience with that :)
Good luck anyways!

Good luck anyways! I hope I don't have to do it that way because I have 6 squads and 6 variations of the command list that all have to be interchangeable. I'll just keep looking for an alternate method/fix for now but if I can't find any thing I'll try that.
