So i had this idea to make a counter melee. I had the idea while playing Halo:Reach when i noticed that the elites have a very powerful melee and high shield strength. I was talking to a few friends who also play Halo:Reach, who all agreed with me that Halo:4 should have a counter melee because some enemies are just to strong with melee and shields. Then i thought, why not make it myself? for Halo:Custom Edition.
So i need a script that can check to see if a unit (player/AI) is melee-ing and if so then attach another unit (vehicle) to it, then automatically detach it (so it's right beside the melee-ing unit). Then check to see if another player has entered that unit (vehicle) and if that is true then it loads the unit that was melee-ing into the vehicle. Then after both animations, both of the units in the vehicles entrance animations, are carried out it unloads the units from the vehicle and kills the one that was melee-ing and then teleports the vehicle back to a netgame flag.
The outcome i'm hoping for. An ai, or another player, goes to melee you, the melee is like a kick, The second before it hits there is a split second where you can hit the action key (E) and enter the vehicle, once this happens the AI(/other player) will be loaded into the vehicle with you and your animations will be carried out. Once they have been your both unloaded, the melee-ing player is killed, and the vehicle is gone. Giving the look that you countered their melee and killed them.
I'm hoping it will be something like assassination, in the sense that it feels like you're incredibly badass when you do it, but faster, like it doesn't take as long to perform. I think it would make the game a little more fun to play and increase the replay value a little bit, too. Can i get a scripter to help me make this? i'll do the animations :D.
