i couldent get the normal tool working so i got tool++ but don't no how it works.\
im making a map so what tool command should i use and what do i type in the source directery becouse when i put the path in it dosent work it just dosent do anything.
plzzzzzzzz help im making my first map

Well if you are trying to compile a map, and if it is the same as normal tool, the command you will want to type in is "tool build-cache-file levels\test\<map folder>\<name of map>" then just let it run for a while and your map should be compiled and ready to go. you would type it in without the quatations Edited by sOMeonEUNo on Dec 29, 2011 at 05:48 PM

If you want a simple GUI, you can use the ToolEx plugin for HEK+. It's very simple and reliable.

thx guys but i still cant get it to work i hit run tool and it just takes forever when i hold my mouse over it the loding thing cmes up how long should it take?

Should take a while. Just leave it. But if it takes more than 30 minutes, you've got a problem.

also my <map folder> is in Halo Custom Edition\data\levels is that alright or does it have to be somwhere speific?
its been over half an hour and its still not working

tell us what you type in tool, and then tell us where the file is.
