so I have heard a huge amount of amazing features from the xbox-port-to-windows-version of halo 2

an I was just wondering, is it worth the buy or should I go out and buy an xbox and get halo reach?

P.S my clan is very active on h2v so player might not be a problem

well, gameplay wise it's the same. But the UI for Halo 2 is absolutely atrocious.

You would be better off to go and get Reach.

Never say Halo Reach's multiplayer is anywhere near Halo 2's. Sorry if that comes across as snappy, but I'm afraid you have to draw the line somewhere.

Ontopic, I would say Halo 2 is the better option for a solid multiplayer experience, despite the lack of players. Reach's multiplayer is very broken and laggy, not to mention the most popular matchmaking gametype is living dead, which, with regards to map design, fails horribly. You get stuck with default maps in which people find perching spots and snipe you with one shot headshot pistols. It's your choice though. Halo 2 isn't bad. I really don't understand why people don't like it. Look at Battlefield 3. No mod supoort and it's very popular. Look at Halo 2. Mod support, good netcode, destructible items and ai WHICH SYNC and a friends list making it easier to join people's games.

H2V does almost everything H2X did just as well. Some things better. It does have its issues (mostly G4WL related) but:

1: G4WL is free

2: It has unique gameplay
