Getting More Help
Creating Halo CE maps is not a simple process. It requires that you learn how to use the 3D editing program, understand how map geometry is imported into the game and also how to populate the game level with game assets. There are numerous user created tutorials, video and text, to assist in teaching you the various disciplines required for creating maps. You can find them in the Tutorials section of the website.

Search
The Halo CE maps website has a search function that will allow you to find maps, tutorials and whatever else is available from the website. Please use it before asking in the forum. For example if you want to find out how to make maps search for a tutorial "Map Making Tutorial" http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?Search=map+making+tutorial

Please look for answers before asking questions.

As for HEK+, find the one that was uploaded in 2005 - that has an installer so you can install it properly. Also, try running it in Compatability Mode (Windows XP, Service Pack 2 [SP2] is the most stable) and/or as an Administrator.

I do understand How HEK plus works but anyways i dont need the link because it working fine atm.

But when i clicked "browse" and click "Bloodgulch" and then highlight all of the folders right click "Add to Extraction Queue"

and then right hand side it says "Tag Extraction Queue" i right clicked it and click "check all"
and then tick all of the BOX and took off "Save Extracted Tag List" and i clicked "start" then all of the file dissapeard so i closed HEKPLUS and go to "My computer" "Local Disk" "programfiles" "microsoftgames" "Halo Custom Edition" and then open "sapien" and then it says

"The Program can't start because vorbisfile.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

put this into your haloce root directory. http://www.mediafire.com/?pl1vo9rhyk1ea1w

also the headcrab tag your on about, sure i put that tag into the map for you and your freind and sent you the link to it a few months ago, all you guys had to do was adjust the spawn points etc for it in sapien.

you're supposed to open your actual map before putting stuff in it.

Scenario tags are a type of tag that points to mostly every other tag your map has, and they contain the stuff for like, where you spawn, where vehicles spawn, gametype stuff like flags, etc..

Open your level that you want to edit, for example if you want bloodgulch go to haloce's root directory and then go to tags\levels\test\bloodgulch and then click bloodgulch.scenario. This will open up your actual map for you to begin putting stuff in it, after all you can't just start putting things in a map if you dont even have a map loaded :P.
