It works on some computers, but not all. I don't know what the criteria are for the the computers that can run it.

The setup is pretty easy to figure out, just read it. And before you go insulting me again, no, this is not a flame. Just carefully read the readme.

As Masterz said, it seems to only work correctly for a few PC's. I only know two people who can run it correctly. As for me personally, I can make recordings and the lot, but there's like a small percentage of error in the recordings. When you make the sum of all these small recording errors you end up with an animation that goes off-track by a fair amount.

So yeah, follow the readme exactly. I don't really think you can do it the wrong way. If you are one of the lucky ones you'll have it all set-up in no time. But statistically your odds are probably best by using custom animations if you know how to make them. If you do then you'll want to follow the guidelines mattDratt told us to follow (set bounding radius of dropship to 360 and teleport the dropships to a flag near the battlefield before running the custom animation).

As i told you i think :3 i get strings missing,.
After a quick look at the replacement strings.dll supplied with the utility it is essential that you rename the old strings.dll to strings_org.dll because the utility passes through the normal calls to that specific file name. Naming it anything else will cause a strings error as if the strings.dll was missing because if you name it incorrectly it is.

In my root directory both Strings.dll and Strings_org.dll use a capital letter. Perhaps it is case sensitive?

when you first play after doing that, whatever key you press is used for your recording. Not sure where its saved, but you probably pressed something and have your key saved.

Capitals dont matter in windows systems.

Thing is he can't even get the app started due to the missing strings, so I doubt he ever got around to even being able to press a key to record.

And this is the exact error message that appears when I rename the Strings_org.dll to something else: "Make sure you renamed the original Strings.dll to Strings_org.dll. "

Either way it won't hurt to try.

Finished talking to him on xfire, for anyone else getting that issue in the future, he wasnt using the 109 exe, it works for him now that I sent him my files. he claims his works 100% like mine (something about my exact dll and exe or something? imawizard)

Anyways, might as well note this for anyone planning to use this dll, if you host games while using this dll, people will only be able to move for the first second after respawning. you can basically sit there slaughtering them as they cant move :P

Let me be sure I understand what you are saying. The utility ONLY works for version 1.09, the official non-hacked version of the game?

Just so you know, the tool does not properly record your aiming vector. This would explain why your animations are off by a bit.

Ah...any chance one of you crazy coders could fix it?

I had plans to make a tool for it, but that's on hold for now. I understand the majority of the format, but calculating the vector difference data looks more complicated than the rest of it. It's definitely possible, but requires more poking around the code. Which I don't really have time for on top of the cmt stuff on my plate.
