If anyone wants the installer just contact me on xfire. I have tried... And you won't accept me friend request... Just post a link or something since you refuse... Why would he post a link or give it to an untrusted individual, when clearly it isn't supposed to be released yet?

Ooooooohhhhh reeeaaaaaallly?
"Untrusted" eh? BY WHOSE standards eh? And if it "Isn't supposed to be released yet" why is it "Publicly available" eh? Or rather "Easy to get"?
And never mind all that crap because Google came to the rescue.

I almost threw up when I saw this. News flash people in the ce community who are unknown, and have never done anything significant are by default, untrusted, so uh~~~

SeL has made some brilliant MP maps, Revelations and Requiem. Speak for yourself Skidrow, not others.

SeL has been long in the community enough even for me to remember him. What have you done yourself? Stop asking other people questions, ask yourself questions.

And exactly how are those "significant" eh? It's actually a playable map. I have made 5 SP maps. As they were simply proof of concept and scrapped they ain't so great. Only one is here on halomaps though. And by "significant" I mean actually popular and such I.E. Coldsnap RPG Beta (X) and Extinciton and such, Bleh.

@lolgrunts: That is indeed true, but I sometimes wonder how well MP maps get advertised to the main MP playerbase ingame.

skid's done a lot more in this community than a lot of other forum members, he keeps most of his content under wraps however but I've seen some of his work and I hold him in relatively high regards.
and I'm not talking about his released sp maps Edited by Delicon20 on Oct 31, 2011 at 09:42 PM

Yes you could put it that way as most of you said.
And Delicon20 has a point. I DO keep almost everything under wraps. When it is ready and finished it will be released and not a moment before.
And Higuy by having "never heard of those" I assume you meant my SP maps?

Quote: --- Original message by: Masters1337 Anyone can get OS, there's no support for it until the actual public release alongside SPV3. The source is publicly visible ("anyone can get OS"), but the installers provided by myself and FS are made explicitly for CMT and no one else. We haven't deemed the codebase 'gold' so there are no public releases yet. We've been working with CMT for both testing and feedback. Part of that feedback helped FS come up with a new shader system. One which will render the one used right now outdated. We don't want the installers we give to CMT floating around since our changes are not complete and thus could potentially conflict with the final. New tags made with whatever installer is floating around potentially won't be editable by the HEK updates that come in the final (esp. FS's new shader system). So for those passing installers around outside of CMT, do the community a favor and stop. You'll only make it that much harder for those of us who work on OS to support problems once the final is released. If compatibility issues related to old beta builds becomes too great, I won't even provide support post-release.

Not that you would believe me, since, by your logic, my existence has no value since I haven't made anything awesome for the community. Infact, some of the talented people here leak on every opportunity they get, so uh~~~ I'm sorry but read my post again. Unknown and never done anything = untrusted by default if your testimony is true you are not unknown, and you have done things (testing), so idk what you're getting your panties in a knot over :]

We are both "well known" and neither of us have done anything significant. Therefor by your standards we are trusted. Quote: Unknown and never done anything = untrusted by default So we both half-fill that quota.
