Today i was playing with a friend online and he asked me why i always was an elite in multiplayer... They can jump higher and run faster right? but what are the the good things about a spartan? which one you do you like better?

I don't play H2 multi, but... wouldn't elite and spartan be the same? If one character was better than the other (eg Elite in this case), who would choose to be a Spartan?

Elites dont jump higher or run faster nor do they lunge further with sword but they do have bigger heads and head shot spot so its easier to kill them. And elite animations are so crappy that it looks like they are hacking all the time. Edited by beazt on Sep 25, 2011 at 03:57 AM

In H2V, don't play as an elite. It's just asking to get killed over and over and over. Lag seems to not affect them as much, so it's easier to kill elites.

In Halo 2, Halo 3, and "maybe" non-invasion gametypes in Halo Reach(I'm not sure about this one), The spartans and elites are 100% identical except for appearance and collision model.

Don't forget though, that elite's also have that magic sweet spot right above the neckline that fails to register any kind of hit from projectiles. An often overlooked flaw to the elite head hitbox.
