Hello, I've downloaded some user-created maps that require you to type commands in the console, such as object_create, to spawn the map's vehicles, however, everytime I type in the spawning commands the console says that it cannot be executed now. I'm getting frustrated, how do I fix this?

I run the game in dev mode, but every time I type in a command it says the request cannot be executed now. I cannot get the custom vehicles to spawn when playing on elitedeathisland, and I also cannot get the vehicles to spawn on rpg_gamma_marine

It didn't work, Devmode kept turning itself off, ugh, why does spawning the map's vehicles have to be such a difficult, tedious task?

Right-click your link to Halo CE. Under "target", add "-console -devmode" to the end, so it looks like this:

...\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -console -devmode

that should enable devmode.

^ That should work.

Also, you can only use devmode on either LAN servers or your own created online servers. If you try to use commands on anyone else's server without rcon or admin on SAPP/Devicator, you'll probably just end up making the game exception constantly. If you want to use dev on someone else's server, they can either give you the rcon password, which you can then type into console as "rcon pass command"(pass command being whatever the password is then whatever the command is), or they can give you admin if they've installed SAPP or Devicator. You can google either to see a full list of their special commands.

I can easily run devmode, that isn't my problem, the problem is I'm trying to spawn the vehicles on the map rpg_gamma_marine and spawn the custom vehicles, such as the scarab and covenant dropship, on the map Elite_deathisland. On the readme of the rpg map it says what to type in the console to spawn the vehicles, I typed it in the console multiple times, but it ALWAYS says "the request you made, object_create_anew_containging 13 cannot be executed now" I can type the well-known console codes from Combat Evolved, but it refuses to spawn the special Custom Edition vehicles on the map.

I can't use the flycam; i always can use debug_camera_save & _load, but i still can't use the flycam. How can i use this?

Do you have any other apps running in the background? I've found that devmode tends to work a lot less often since I installed version changer.

Sometimes I have Internet Explorer running. Steam runs all the time, I have McAfee Security Center.

You know, up until a few days ago, I never knew about the scrolling the wheel thing.

Ok, from what I gathered, you typed in the command wrong, as seen in your quote here:You added an extra "G" in containing, so try it again.

object_create_anew_containing 13

^ Is how it should look now.

Also make sure you have an AllDev program that can work with 1.09, as Bitterbanana's devmode does NOT work with 1.09.

Few things

1) Why did you bump a really old thread? Make a new one.

2) Make sure full dev access is on *Open halo, press the ~ key and press tab* That should display all the dev commands. If it is a page full of codes then congrats it is on.

3) Explain to us a little more other than "Help"

4) What command are you trying to do?
