so i just finished a book and found out (kinda assuming here) that the flood is a precursor bioweapon that started as a powder that made Pheru's behavior better and therefore was use on them in the population for better pets. then it slowly mutated and spread to humans and san'shyuum.

In the terminals in Halo 3 Diadact/Librarian predicts the flood came back on a research vessel from out of known space. (which is much more awesome and menacing compared to a pet grooming product)

lol. but i like the pet grooming thing because it involves slow mutation and has an actual beginning instead the flood just already being alive. cant wait for the new terminals now.

Actually, it would make sense if the flood was artificial. Evolution will never create an organism like the flood unless the changes are made deliberately by another species; Precursors perhaps?

How can you be so sure of that? There is organisms on our own planet that are parasites.

Here's the thing. Though they can be deadly, parasites will always be lowly creatures that are extremely dependent on organisms that are stronger than them. Hence, if they were created in a natural process, that would mean that wherever they come from, it will be inhabited by monsters 100x more powerful than the flood.

Like I said before, how can you be 100% positive that there will never be something like the Flood? Not saying it will happen, but you can't say it isn't possible. The universe is a widely immense and mysterious place, with new things around ever corner.

It's not that "I don't believe in it" but it's more like "I don't want to believe in it".

Let me get a quote from my post to elaborate my point.

Quote: Here's the thing. Though they can be deadly, parasites will always be lowly creatures that are extremely dependent on organisms that are stronger than them. They have to be. The flood wouldn't evolve to such a deadly state if they weren't. If those creatures ever came to our planet, we're toast.

lol yea that is true but the flood was made by precursors it just started as a harmless powder form that needed hosts to develop from. so is both artificial and evolutionary process from which came the flood.

They are a parasite, evolution can easily make Parasites.

Also, not sure if your forgot but this is Halo, not real life.
Half the stuff in Halo is not possible in real-life..

You would a pure solid metal mass the size of the moon to even build a covenant carrier... But in Halo's world they have this giant mechanism that builds thing for them... It's called 3ds max.
