Now, I have two computers and I plan to have Halo Custom Edition installed on both of them. I have a legit CD key, but I was wondering if I could still play online if I used the CD key for both computers. Will it work? I'm the only one who has the key.

You'll be fine as long as the two computers aren't trying to play together on the same server.

Correction: If they aren't trying to play on the same, non-dedicated server. Dedicated servers allow computers with the same CD Keys to play at the same time. I know, me and my friend (who's using my Key) managed to play on the same dedi server at the same time. And yes, the CD Keys and the .exe's are fully legal. Yes it's legal-sortof-maybe, but it's not really right. Granted it is legal because halo didn't think of it and take counter-measures, but there is a reason why new games make you link a game with their account. When it is activated on one computer, it is deactivated on any other computers that have the account registered until you log back in on the other computer(s). With the situation that halo has, yes, one can use the same key on any computer and at the same time.

Edited by UBE Chief on Aug 1, 2011 at 05:40 PM No, dedicated servers still have a CD key check, it's just at this point most of them have disabled them because of lack of players.
