Before, KoolIM supported xfire as well as XFire Plus, both unaffiliated with xfire but their web based messenger today aren't supported anymore.

With this you will be able to access xfire's instant message, running with java from any computer without the need to install xfire. However this doesn't support voice chat or screen capture.

Now I think these are really hard to find. xD

So for people who wants to log in from anywhere or like me who only want to chat with other people on xfire don't want its other features on their computers, this is for you. Found and shared for your convenience.
FYI i do not take credit for this(duh)

I hope this works. Xfire doesn't work on this laptop, the one with all the HCE stuff on it. If this works, I could perhaps actually get on xfire, and finish maps.
edit: Runs a java app in a little window, none of my friends are there or anything.

its seems that this is like a html code for a xfire plus widget

i will continue my campaign for the search

profit: NO YOU WILL NOT

update:
I found a google project hosting site called openfire

"OpenFire is a Java API for accessing the XFire gamer's instant messaging network. It has been built to allow the creation of LAN party tools to manage communications at large (100+ man) events, taking advantage of XFire's unique in-game messaging client. The underlying communications code could be used for a number of other applications, such as instant messaging bridges or cross-platform xfire clients. "

it worked for a millisecond till i got this error
An error occured which required your connection with the xfire server to be closed

i submitted a issue report
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. xfire update?
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
to be able to login, the error message

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.0.1 on windows xp

Please provide any additional information below.

xfire plus and koolim also supported xfire web based messenger online but up to this date it has failed to log in. While i had xfire out for a brief milisecond i could see my friends list
