I have this problem when I load any map in Sapien. How do I fix it? I've overwrote the tags several times with HEK+ and it's still not fixed. It appears okay in-game, but I want to have a good Sapien. How do I fix this?

Apparently public enemy number 1?

can you either get a better picture of the problem, or explain it to us?.. because the only thing that I think I can see that would be off, would be the back area looking a bit green.

From what I think I see, and your small description, it sounds like the bitmaps are corrupt, and since they are default bitmaps, when you compile and play ingame it uses the ones stored in bitmaps.map instead. And if its just a problem in sapien, why does it matter so much?

It doesn't really matter, but I would like it to be fixed. It's one of those things that's nice to be pleasurable when working on a map. The sound is also horrid when I open it and makes screeching sounds. I had this issue before, but it fixed itself. Sort of odd really.

Do a fresh install of HEK and do as I tell you, here:

Rip all (I mean it) of the campaign maps from Halo PC and at least one multiplayer map from it as well. This drastically reduces the chance of any of your default tags getting corrupted. Only then are you allowed to rip from custom maps.

If you do it the other way around...let's just say that sapien/guerilla won't be happy...and you'll end up with what you have now - corrupt tags.

Shall we play a game?

I would suggest adding "do not check the overwrite function in HEK+" to your advice, since the overwrite function tends to guarantee screwed-up tags.

Isn't it off by default? Nonetheless, thank you for adding that.

It is, but some people do check the option because they need/want to overwrite certain tags that may be corrupt or something, but end up getting corruption instead. Sometimes, they tend to leave that option on.....

Glad I helped.
