is there a way in HCE that while in a First person cutscene, that the character can move around to it's waypoint in the scene (Like moving next to a marine) but you can't control it yet?

In theory, it IS possible.
You would need to make a model of the FP arms animate while having the camera attached to it, but as i'm not a scripter don't expect me to explain it, okay?

Lol, I'm not doing it, I'm just offering ideas but not sure if it works :)

Also, is there a script that instantly replaces the player's weapon? (Such as after the cutscene with your "lowered" weapon, it is instantly replaced with the same weapon that is not "lowered")

It's possible. They do it with the HUD disabled in the perspective of Private Jenkins during 343 GS.

The camera is just the jenkin's biped sightjack, cant see hands on it.

Erm. Fp cutscenes are (almost) impossible to make work right. You need to make the camera move perfectly according to the hands. Its hard with camera flags. It would be nice on anims where the camera is static.

Ive only tested it once but you can take a biped; throw him in a vehicle, and you can animate that vehicle to be the camera. Just set the FP view to that biped.

Alright guys, whoah, whoah, hang on...

I've fully researched this idea a while ago. The command (camera_set_first_person [unit]) will do this simply, if you want just a basic FP cutscene like on c30 or whatever level it is; but I wished to use something more than that because that command hides the geometry of the model whose view you're occupying. I wanted some first person arms at least. I'll explain detailed descriptions of the steps I went through:

1. My first idea was to attach the player to an ai encounter, disable player movement, then set his biped on a predetermined course with (ai_command_list_by_unit [player]). This sadly did not turn the camera as it went, so I moved on.

2. My next idea, going back to the (camera_set_first_person [unit]) command, was to make the fp arms a scenery item, then attach them to the head of the biped the camera was first person on (and manually set the offset to adjust for height and distance they stuck out). I would then animate them to move as the ai walked, and to interact with objects. But this failed, because the engine hides all child geometry of hidden geometry, and the (camera_set_first_person [unit]), as said before, hides the geometry of [unit].

3. The idea after that was to reverse it. Attach the camera to the biped, then attach the biped to the arms. I would have to animate the arms through the environment as well as create realistic sway, so as you can see the job was increasing in difficulty as I resorted to different plans. This plan failed because the camera would not follow the arms as they animated forward.

4. My most recent plan (and successful, I'll proudly say) is something I feel I should have thought of long before. I am turning the biped into a vehicle and put the player in a seat in it, setting its camera marker at "head." Now, I and others know and have known for a while that this is the most effective way to achieve FP legs and body, yet I never considered (for some reason, I know I should have before) making the player's seat a gunner seat to where he can turn the head in given bounds and see his body etc., but the ai is in a different seat as the driver, walking them along a path. If achieved properly, this is perfect for cutscenes. I am going to use this for Red Skulls, so I cannot distribute the biped vehicle I created at the moment, but if you successfully create your own before I release mine, then congratulations. But do know that the map will be open and unprotected, so tags used will be available to anyone after release.

Well, that was certainly a lot to type. Did you learn anything? I hope so because I'm going to make a >:| face if not.
