the title of your thread.....copy/paste a base structure to a bsp.

bases aren't pasted to the bsp,you can either model it as part of your bsp,you can make a base then make that into a scenery tag and just place it in sapien.
or you can model the base, then import it into your map and then place you base where you want it to be,then on the bsp delete the faces that the base covers then delete a 1 polygon width around your base then create polys to attach your base to your bsp.

Such wretched grammar...reminds me of Newspeak from 1984. Here's where it all begins...

yeah, so what you need to do to keep things simple is to just mesh your base with the BSP terrain. Follow the advice above. If your base isn't all that complex, then you can use a scenery item, but if it is somewhat complex, it's generally best to mesh it in as a part of the BSP, rather than placing it as a scenery item.

He uses a translator program to translate from his native Spanish to English. Please make allowances for grammatical and syntactical errors.

Odd. I always assumed those translators were a tad bit more reliable. I meant no insult; it's just freaking annoying seeing all the individuals out there that don't need a translator (only because English is their primary language) and STILL cannot, for the life of anyone, put together a properly spelled or grammatically correct sentence.
