Ok i have done the maxscript thing with chimp and the tutorial I am using says to open Grablistener then save as mapname.jms

So i save the file as test2.jms (test2 is my map name atm) into data/levels/test_map/models

The next step in the tutorial is to navigate to the .jms file and open it in notepad, but when i navigate to it, it isnt there.

How can I fix?

if it didn't go the your maps folder, use search, type test2.jms and see where it pops up in your pc.
but the fact you say you definitely gave it your maps folder as a path to save to is a little strange, but yeah try search man.

Try repeating the process again. Maybe something went kablooie while saving. Also, your file may be hidden for some reason or other. If a search (including hidden files and folders) doesn't turn up anything (search for '*.jms', without the quotes) then the file did not save. If saving again fails, then you might try using a different grablistener.
