I've started working on a zombies map for CE multiplayer, but in my haste, I forgot.... well, ya know, dead stuff. I'm pretty sure I can make the bipeds dead upon spawning, but since this is multiplayer, I'm afraid there would be a lot of double-spawning and disappearing bodies. So would somebody be kind enough to create .scenery files of a few bipeds in their prone "death" animation?

Needed:
•Armored Marine (Dead)
•Unarmored Marine (Dead)

Specify position. And bipeds sync over multiplayer, actors don't.

I've tried having dead bipeds in MP, and they don't always sync...and even worse, they don't even spawn in some cases - and I'm the host! I think having dead marine .scenery would be nice just to have the absolute certainty that they will spawn instead of placing dead marine bipeds in a place and not having them spawn ingame >.<

I would:

  • Use gmax, gbximport the biped

  • Animation import the death animation

  • Delete all the frames except the last one

  • Convert the biped to editable mesh, delete the bones

  • Export as jms, make a gbxmodel to use for scenery

Hm. Did you read the direction? A good modder should use gmax to convert something.

Except not. It disappears. Then it's not there for everyone. Any that's not syncing.

And bipeds sync over multiplayer

Players sync over multiplayer. Bipeds placed from Sapien don't.

So biped machines don't sync?

AI, Device machines and Animated scenery does not sync in a multi-player game. Bipeds marked as dead are subject to garbage collection and will be removed after a short time in a multi-player game. Your best bet is to make a dead biped into a scenery object.
