This may sound really simple, but how exactly do I switch to a new HUD? I got the grenade indicators to work but the shield and motion detector stay default. I'm trying to use MMAMONSTERRR-D92209's reach hud. Edited by WSYD Zeta on Mar 19, 2011 at 06:43 PM

No. Open up your biped tag, scroll down to the HUD Interfaces or whatever, and look through it. Change the unit hud interfaces to your custom one (I assume you will be using Jesse's halo 3 or whatever)

Your way consists of changing the default cyborg unit hud interface, which is the bad way.

Tried doing it qwerty's way but its still come up with original health motion tracker and shield meters. And now I switched over to Jesse's H3 HUD.

Motion trackers are located in the globals. Shield meters are from the unit hud interfaces from the biped like i said. Either you did something wrong or you did something wrong.

The only things showing up with the H3 hud is the grenades indicator, the weapon and the mtions tracking sweep effect. Where exactly should place the visor, shield, shield flash, and motion tracker bitmaps? And should my biped have a unit hud interface option and not just a new hud interface? Followed the readme to the letter. But still doesn't work. Tryed installing a reach hud beforehand would that do anything? And does it matter that I'm using this on a ripped scenario(RPG Open 6)? Edited by WSYD Zeta on Mar 20, 2011 at 01:03 AM

Tied adding only what was needed to make the hud work but tool came up with an error. Tried adding the entire H3 sandtrap tag directory but that made tool come up with the same "hud message" error i got before. Tried using juicebox's way and now my map give me exeption every time I try to open my map. Do I need a different version of the HEK? I just have the original. Edit: I switched to P0lar bear's H2 hud and everything's working fine! No idea why the H3 one didn't work.
