hey im here showing my map progress for a bsp i thought of a space battle map so this is what i have so far any suggestions for it

Humans: Bigger Ships MOAR SHIPS! 1 ship that size aint gonna take down that covenant monster :) could be near a planet.....MAC Stations?
Covenant: Resize the ship if you want to.... If you are going to be using the planet idea, make it look like an invading fleet (Most should be background scenery, only 1-3 should be accessible depending on size)

I would suggest maybe a few asteroids like someone before me said (to lazy to go back and look at the name). but also, maybe a few broken ship parts. I'd love to see maybe a blow out burned sections of ship you can still go into in a space battle.

Well sense i was figuring it may be the midpoint in the map sort of like how the cliffs are in danger canyon, maybe have it so they are still reachable inside of the burned out ship. Maybe it could be a portion of a turret bay where all the thick glass windows are that you can break to get to them. Though is it were debris or an asteroid belt i recommend not putting a a lot in the map. enough to evade yet not enough to crowd.

Spacemap:
Base: Opposing Frigates/covenant ships on opposite sides of an asteroid feild. Each ship contains a hanger with flag, player, and vehicle spawns. Bases are also equiped with anti-air turrets/vehicles with relatively short range. The main hanger has some kind of sheilding to prevent missle camping from afar. Smaller secondary hanger with no sheilding and no spawns, but leads into the primary hanger. This will be easier for invaders to get their infantry into the enemy ship without vehicle camping. Insides of main hangers have strong anti-vehicle turrets that shred enemy vehicles inside your base. Prevents spawn-camping.
-Flag; In smaller room leading from main hanger. Only enterable by infantry to promote close quarters gameplay and fairness.
Asteroid Feild: A bunch of floating asteroids in the middle of the battlefeild to provide cover for ships. Vehicles can swerve in between them to break missle locks and promote general stealth. Relatively open section in between both capital ships in which vehicles can fly straight to the enemy base. However, being in such an open area makes you highly vulnerable to anti-air and enemy vehicle fire (Think extinction). Taking the safe route through the more densly clustered sections of the feild forces you to go around the open area making it the "long way." This creates a quick-dangerous path/long-safer path tradeoff.
-Asteroids can be hollow allowing for vehicle tunnels or even semi-secret vantage points where palyers can pick up more powerful weapons, vehicles, etc. The space equivalent of a mini-base.
Weapons: Weapons should be a balance of long range, anti-vehicle types (homing rocket, Spartan lazer, etc) and medium/short range weapons for CQC inside bases.
-Bombs(?); Basically c4 charges, each player start with one and can attach them to walls/enemys/vehicles. They cause massive damage usually resulting in instant death, but have such a small blast radius that they only destroy what they're attached to (because that's freaking annoying!). Because they are so small and take an extended period to detonate (10 seconds?), it's incredibly hard to stick them to people. Individual players can also easily walk away from them. However, attaching them to vehicles makes for a perfect trap/defence against enemy vehicles.
Vehicles:
-Light unit; (Banshee/[human craft]) Moderatly fast single ships with basic primary weapons and weak homing single missle/fuel-rod secondary. Has the weakest sheilds of the vehicles and is extremely susceptible to anti-air fire. It small size and good manuverability makes it best suited swerving through dense asteroid clusters.
-Dropship; (Pelican/Phantom) Best described as warthogs of the sky, these serve the primary purpose of carrying massive amounts of infantry to the enemy base. Seats consist of a pilot, a seperate gunner for a chin mounted chaingun/plasma turret, and several passenger seats. Dropships are relativly big, weak, and slow but have incredible sheilds and aren't easily put-down. This makes them perfect for navigating the open pass and even withstanding the turrets of enemy hangers, but only to drop off infantry. *Dropships should have some kind of weak point that makes them susceptible to infantry fire but not larger units (eg, snipe the driver).
-Starfighter; (Seraph/Sabre) Like jets but less annoying and less overpowered. Equiped with basic primary gun and a few (homing?) missles, these single ships dominate the sky. Just as weak as light units, but incredibly fast. So fast infact that they can't make sharp turns, and are very susceptible to crashing. They then are limited to more open areas and fail at entering hangers or navigating more densly packed asteroid clusters. *Make it so they take large amounts of damage when they crash?
-Artillary(?); (Longsword/?) Very few in number (one per team?), they're basically moving missle platforms. They carry a large arsenal of weak homing missles and can carry a couple extra people. Their sheilds are slightly stronger than a lite unit, but being the largest vehicle type makes them really easey to hit. Slower than a light unit but slightly faster than a dropship.
-Jetpack(??) Ultralight unit leaves the player almost completly exposed and serves only the purpose of crossing the vaccume. Armament consists of whatever the wearer is holding (like the horses in the zelda map). Armor wise they are the weakest vehicle, but their small size makes them harder to hit. i whipped up an Escort Banshee of my own (not the one from halo campaign) needs a new model (desirably the space banshee from reach) but is good as is.
it is a High Speed, Slow acceleration and Medium turning Banshee i'm still working on the Weapons and HUD though. (and tweaking the vehicle lol)

Naw, not at the top. The hangar is There :L It would be pretty illogical to have the ships on the top taking into consideration that it's a Carrier, and thus has a hangar. At the very least, if you're too lazy, use the secondary one: Either way would take some work which I'd gladly help with, but in the end it'd make much more sense and look better overall.
