I'm releasing 2 maps Delta Halo and Desolation. They are incomplete and I'm sorry about that . The reason I'm releasing it in this unfinished versions is because I may be moving in a month or two because of some personal problems that I will not mention. I didn't want to disappear without something being said/released.

I know! I wanted to see that map too. It was actually my favorite halo 2 map as far as looks go.

Update main post with video link also already made the sky since making that video.

Containment is really unfinished but if you want it I suppose I could upload it.

Delta Halo is a Halo 2 campaign map that I got into Halo CE.
Delta Halo Source is the .obj, .3ds, .fbx, and .max(2010) for anyone who wants to edit it.

Desolation was missing some scenery, and some sounds, also could use better grav lifts.
Containment is missing scenery, needs shaders for bsp and sky fixed, and a machine for the entrance of the base so it can be opened.

I'll start uploading containment now.

I guess I'll upload terminal while I'm at it.

I'll try and get some pic's up to.

i do remember your burial mounds
what about the terminal? does the train sync? :|
sounds and scenery can be easily fixed but grav lifts dont sync well...

Doubt it would sync but you could just get rid of collision and animate it, then it wouldn't need to sync.

Edit: don't download containment I forgot to run lightmap :\
Edit2: I noticed Terminal had disappearing faces so I might portal it real quick.

Great Journey the entire map first bsp of arbiter,and first bsp of old mombasa.I havent touched my project in 2 weeks,got alot of life issues at hand but when I get past them I'll release all my sp maps,all H2 bipeds,weapons,everything.

But this is crimsonshadows thread so I'll make the new team thread in february.

Ya sorry about it taking so long I was trying to portal it but there's still a little bit of disappearing faces.

Also yoko has the latest backwash idk when it will be released though.

Thankx for the source for Delta Halo.

Can I ask what method you used to extract it? When I use Entity (the latest version) I cannot extract the entire BSP as one .OBJ and it takes forever attaching and assigning all the polys. I have come up with a good method for H2x MP maps but SP ones take far too much time repairing. So any insight you could provide would be helpful.

Are you using entity 2.1.8? It extracts to a single obj for both the map and perms.
Also I know what you mean by doing it by hand and it sucks ><

Edit: I read your post on extracting and I do it pretty much same stuff as you except I don't do STL check and I select the border of the map and press shift and raise it to make sky box.

Aw, Delta Halo is so cool, but you can't see anything ingame. All the buildings are invisible, it doesn't work. Could you just use the very beginning of the level, I want to make a map variant on the beginning of the level. plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

That is the beginning and you should be able to see stuff because I can.
Maby your video card or something is not strong enough to render all that polies. :\

I converted this back to Max 8 format and set it up for H2V (yes from H2 to CE and back to H2, lol). Had to separate many of the duplicate structures into instanced geometry (and did proper portals) but once I did so it actually compiled this huge map. So TY, big time-saver for me not having to fix all of the BSP model (still took two days and the shaders are not very unique yet.)

Adding it to my huge collection of MP maps in progress ;)

My team (H2MT) does various types of MP maps, mods, custom weapons/vehicles and such for H2V. Occasionally we work with CE teams.


Its too bad you are getting out of it or I might have some source files you could be interested in.

Well I'm not out yet I still have a month or 2, but when I move I probly won't have access to a computer plus I'll be very busy.
