Spirit, I prefer that one, just because it looks cooler.

Spirit. Probably don't need new model animatiions, and it will unload easier.

Does your map take place in a certain time? Do you want your vehicle and weapon selection to be canonically correct for that time? Pretty much anything after Halo 1's events shouldn't have spirits, and phantoms should only go back to Reach's timeline, no earlier. And also hunters don't fit well on Spirits, but Spirits carry vehicles less awkwardly. Edited by IcePhoenix on Jan 17, 2011 at 11:29 PM

Phantoms are better. Spirits better for vehicles tho. And I remember watching a Reach firefight vid by Bungie on Corvette and it looked really cool when a spirit came along and opened and two guys were shooting into it with a dmr and neeedle rifle. It would be a good idea to use both

Both. They're a good combo to put in. Use Spirit for vehicle transport while Phantoms drop infantry.

I personally like the spirit, because i cant find / make a good phantom, and the spirit is unique, because you dont see it in much halo games, rarely in reach, and never in halo 3 or 2, nor ODST, so i like spirit.
