How would I make the sword that the AI elites carry pick-up-able? I know the part about disabling the detonation.

That's not what he asked.
The reason you can't pickup the sword is because the master chief does not have the animations to hold it. You could change the label to make it held like a plasma rifle but you will have to make custom first person animations so it will look right. Remember the energy sword was never intended to be usable by the player in combat evolved.

Wait, so the only thing that stops the player entering wraiths and using fuel rods and swords in the original campaign was the lack of animations? No script or something?

Maybe, but I was explaining a method used to set up the halo ce one, without resorting to ripping anything. I never use rips, or any other public tags for that matter.
