Actually, maturity ranges greatly on age, just not in one particular area. For example, you can be mature about poop jokes, but not about serious topics like religion/ignorance. But you do have mostly mature people. Mature is a very vague word. In ESRB ratings, their definition is that the player can distinguish between the game and reality.

Maturity fluctuates with age. A kid just entering or going through the first half of puberty may act more mature than one halfway through puberty, but soon that mature kid will take on some of the same natures as the one halfway through puberty once that kid reaches said state. In other words, hormones will fluctuate maturity. Why do you think teenagers react to crazily when offended regarding things like religion or lack of religion?

I rember playing pokemon back in the day as a kid and now when i play it, it seems a little to childish now. So I've decided to give it a darker twist. Throw in some more violence, Drug, Emotions, Sexual Conduct, And plot twists galore.

I'm trying to make pokemon game for the people who enjoyed it 10 years ago like myself by making it more adult so we can love the game we used to love even more.

maybe as an easter egg lol.

But like i said were looking through scripts trying to figure out how all possible this is, and were having troubes. So if you have any idea of an engine that wouldn't go berserk when you say pokemon is going into their engine than that would be great.
