Theoretically possible, you could give it similar behavior to a wraith (strafe around slowly, shoot at you). Don't make it actively persue you, or else it'll easily get stuck somewhere.

Agreed. would anyone know how I edit how much damage it takes? Scarab is overpowered in extinction. Id like 10 consistant scorpion hits to kill it, since an elite would be driving it (shield recharging) or a masterchief if the elite fails to consider the vehicle covenant.

A new scarab needs to be made tbh instead of that old Halo 2 one. With proper animations which act like the Scorpions.

As for AI, I think for more accurate scenarios you should just make firing positions or command lists, I'm not sure which. Usually scarabs have other jobs than to pursue you nonstop. ...new, what is there not to understand about that word? Basically a H3 or Reach (same I think) Scarab seeming as the ripped H2 one has such low res textures and its pretty poor tbqh.

I wouldn't even bother with an AI. It is too large and cumbersome to have its own AI. I would just keep it to the role that it served in Halo 2; a scripted prop.

Ok ok. Look if someone can take the wraith and change its model to the scarab, I will put effort to get it the fight. I need a scarab with wraith behaviors(strafing too, weird, but a strafing scarab will work better at not getting stuck, something i can work with). I'll be the one to worry about whether it hits walls and acts dumb. Certain scenery objects will keep the scarab on course with right placement.
The ai does not recognize the scarab as something they can board. Use.
I tried with scarab and the phantom. I changed the seat names to recognizable names to ai, (which worked for most vehicles) like b-driver, g-driver etc.
The ai wont even hop in the passenger seats. But I can spawn ai inside /out scarab at start without killing the ai from scarab spawning. And I believe if whoever would be so kind to mod a wraith into the scarab, give it physics same as elephant so you dont bounce off, or fall through it, when attempting to sabotage, fly aboard, run inside. This may be as simple as smooth terrian and slow movement speed.
If anyone would like to make this vehicle, please make it independent tag. I dont want to overright and make old wraith unusable.
The second solution to ai using scarab may be scripting in the "magic" command. Force ai to hop aboard. Though a few problems exist: A) if they didn't recognize it as a vehicle in the first place, what makes you think they will move with it, and shoot back. Second. Someone just said it make sapien crash. (This could be becuase they corrupted/messed /tweaked too much with original tags.
Best solution : Provide me with a wraith scarab, forget if hes too big, I'll find a map to make him work in, and use scenery to keep him in check. Or a ghost scarab? Anything to make him drivable. Or is replacing a model as easy as 1,2,3. Let me know. If its that easy I'll do it myself.
The only thing I know how to do is move the positions of the gun, passenger sears, driver seat etc. I'm really noob and rather spend time making already usable vehicles work with ai, so long as the ai can board the vehicle, and shoot a little,(ill make him shoot more etc)

I wouldn't use an AI. It wouldn't work well. I would use a animated piece of scenery with vehicles attached to it with AI in them. This way you could possibly get on it without being killed. Or, possibly make it a device. Not sure if you can attach the things to it though, never tried it.
