How come some maps work like Sidewinder, b30 (Silent Cartographer campaign level) and Prisoner open on Sapien but others like Bloodgulch, the rest of the campaign, Death Island and others don't work and Sapien just closes.
I have reinstalled Hek twice and Halo twice. I have ripped the tags about 5 times already.
Do I have to recursively rip it or something?

rip all of the tags in the maps recursively, without overwriting.

Get clean tags from this site.
Search halo pc tags and you should see the correct things Im talking about.

Fun fact, if you've downloaded corrupt tags, your default maps may not load in Sapien properly.

Try opening each map's scenario with only the default tags included (of course, still ripping the scenario and BSP from the maps), without downloading any custom tags. If it opens, you have a corrupt tag downloaded.

i used to have this problem. i fix it by replacing the old version of hek+ by the not so old version
