how do you make a map skip to a specified checkpoint?

Let's think about this more deeply, other than just throwing the idea aside.
If a map's scripts were designed to allow skipping to a "rally point" like in Halo 3, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

It's easily possible, my days of scripting are over, but I know that you could set the scripts to allow for teleportation to the given checkpoint and set all AI encounters accordingly. It should be a simple script for someone that knows how, try reading the Halo Script Bible.
