I have been wondering about this for quite some time now, ever since I re-played the level Halo and realised there is actually a fare bit of grass. The only problem is that you have to be suupppeeerrr close for it to appear. So I was just wandering if it is at all possible somehow to increase how far away you can be and still see these things? Also I wouldn't mind knowing a bit as to whether or not you can increase the view distance of the actual maps geometry, to benefit maps like Extinction and such.

Thank you to anyone who is willing to take the time to read this and shed some light on the subject.

I thought it might be something you could change in a config file or somehow hack it to work in existing maps. thanks for the quick reply

A bounding radius of 100 is horrible to use because that leads to poor performance. No object needs a bounding radius that large unless it's a covenant cruiser. It's best to adjust the radius to be able to cover the whole object having the frame being the center.

Bounding radius on vehicles controls how close you have to be for it to say "Press "E" to drive warthog" and such.

so wait, if you wanted to make a vehicle a movable scenery, you would say set the bounding radius to 0?

yeah unenterable is what I would want.
I really like for example the crates in pardis perdu how they are unenterable vehicles and act much like the scenery in the newer Halo games. I would like to see that happen with more and more tags. Yes I know the vehicles would have to be scripted in, but I think this would be really awesome.
Not sure how this would play into lag though. I figure too many vehicles would be bad of course, but not ALL scenery needs to be like this.

Anyway, sorry for getting a bit off topic with this thread.
