I will reiterate the words of the sole person running this website. We test all files that come through here for any sort of malicious content, and are stringent and meticulous in our checks. There is no cause for alarm if your anti-virus picks up a false negative. It is most unfortunate if you do use norton because it will likely remove the file immediately, because it is a POS. Don't worry, it's not a virus.

Clue : Don't use norton. If you don't like the first option, you could try turning it off, then using the file. But that leaves you vulnerable to attack.

This utility uses a keyboard intercept routine for the activation hot-keys that is often used in spyware so most anti-virus anti-malware programs will report it as a virus. It is safe an innocuous.

Norton pretty much is a virus, it takes on the properties of the viruses in the vault over time. I dont know if they fixed that or not but yeah, any other program flags Norton as a virus itself.

as far as free antivirus I definitely suggest either avg or avast
avg kinda went to crap since it now has a memory leak and rapes your cpu, but avast seems decent
seriously though, uninstall norton.

Edited by Codebrain on Nov 14, 2010 at 06:54 PM apparently MSE is vulnerable to virus hijacking its components, like the last time. It for some reason borked and deleted one of my system folders that time. Oh, and i trust that dennis wouldn't plant malware on our computers.....would he?
