okay so i add my length,width and height segment and start working on my model.how do i change the length,height and width segment settings if i decide i need them different to continue with parts of my model?.i'm trying to model with more detail and can't find a setting to change this.

Once you've converted to editable mesh/poly, you cannot change the l/w/h segments the same way you did before. Tessellation will give you what you need, along with shift-dragging edges to extend the model and add new faces.

i think this should work just don't convert your box to editable mesh in the modifiers list go to editable mesh so editable mesh is on top of box in the modifier list and you can go back to length n width segs Edited by yeeyayy on Nov 8, 2010 at 09:50 PM

It's a better modelling practice to not create a bunch of unnecessary polygons, especially in a game like Halo. But that could possibly work, yes. I've always stuck to just convert to editable mesh(editable poly I use more now... I think Halo accepts it the same..)

i understand what your saying about the poly count caboose,i will keep that in mind.so far i've just stuck to the normal convert to mesh/poly.thanks for the advice guys.yeeyayy it works fine jobs a good un.
