Would it be possible if just like the H2 vehicles that some people have made, to also make a tag or part of the map explode if you were to press a button? For example:

- Bloodgultch (yes i know, overused and whatnot, but this will NOT be my map)

If you were to say...press a button in the base and it would explode. It would leave behind maybe a few spikes from the wall and obviously a little of the foundation.

Yes i realize i would have to animate this explosion (i think at least) but would it be possible? I mean think about it, you have to make at least two different versions on a map to make it night, so why not do that with a base only add in an explosion to cover up the new loading base. It would also change the scenery and adds and extra feel of realness if you put it one some crates.

can't you use a vehicle with no physics to fill in a hole in the ground to look normal, and then give it a damaged permutation or something?

wouldn't i have to model the vehicle to look like the ground or something? i wouldn't know how to do that. i mean use a vehicle for something like that. Isn't it when you have the vehicles in the frame and when you blow those out that section changes or like...when you hit it enough the script does something with the vehicle so that it syncs?
