So..i was able to create my custom Halo CE scenery in 3ds max, then compile it and everything went right until i tried putting it into Sapien (or Hobo). Upon placing a marker and changing the object type to my custom scenery, both the mark and my scenery disappeared. Well not completely, when go under the playing floor and look at the area where i placed my scenery....Sapien start having a Lag attack almost so bad that i can barely turn the camera. When i am finally able to turn the camera the opposite direction of the lag attack area, the lag goes away. My question is: What is going on? And how do i fix this issue?

Thanks

How can they be corrupted? I just made them and further more....if they where corrupted then Sapien would most likely not allow the user to even use them int eh first place. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks Videoman

ya...i set it to 10.....but what does that have to do with anything? I mean....its wont show up (visually)...but its there and gives Sapien a lag attack.

well some of my scenery pieces have created a lot of lag and sometimes it way because of the bounding radius, as for it not showing up, could it maybe be too small or large?

Could it be that its to large? If you remember from A50 (the campaign level AKA Truth and Reconciliation) when you walk onto the platform under the Covenant cruiser where you are pulled up into the belly of the ship. That platform that i JUST mentioned is the thing that i am trying to add as a piece of scenery. and it is large....but not THAT large. So...could it be to large for Sapien to handle? I really dont know. But please let me know what you think. Is it to large.....or to small?

Thanks

that is a bunch of particles, find gravlift particles somewhere in tags. i think there is a grav lift scenery somewhere. look in your tags folder for the scenery.
also, that bounding radius thing, i made a giant hunter, and it says out of objects cannot create hunter... what should i set the bounding radius to? (its a few times bigger than the POA lol.

Like i said before.....its not the grav-lift itself. It's the platform that the grav-lift comes down on. I call it the grav-lift base. Its what you stand on before the grav-lift field pulls you into the belly of the ship.

yessir ok 1 sec testing sumptin
the grav lift itself does not pull you up. its an animation

edit: ok find this grav_lift_particles.scenery
now use a map with dark lightmaps and put it somewhere. there is also another one somewhere. its located a50\devices\grav_lift_particles

Ok....i really dont think you are reading my posts. I am trying to put the grav-lift base\platform...NOT the grav-lift itself. Please understand that. grav-lift itself=NO. Grav-lift Base=YES. Please read my posts before jumping into it head first.

Thanks

I am not sure if that is it....i am wondering how collision can make a object not appear (yet be there at the same time) in Sapien? That does not even seem right. Anybody else have any clue what the heck it going on?
