i have had to reinstall halo and hek etc,i made a map and soon after that i had to reinstall halo and hek etc.i didnt save my data and tags files for my map and now im left with only my 3dsmodel file and my map file.basically i need to know how to get a copy of the scenario so that i cant do more work to my map.

that will let me open my maps scenario in sapien? so that i can edit it and add more models,scenery etc?

Open the .map file with HEK+, then find levels\YOURLEVEL\YOURLEVEL.scenario.
Click it and click the plus sign to add it to the list on the right side.
Now click the check mark next to the item in the list, this is how you "recursively" (meaning taking all referenced files with it) extract the scenario.
Now click extract, begin, start, or whatever.
Now you have the files back! Have fun!

certainly dude i will post pics from the map as soon as ive added some other models that i have been working on.
