Halo PC, or Halo Custom Edition. Halo PC does not have a -console -devmode command line argument. If it is Halo custom edition, make sure the shortcut target is "%programfiles%\microsoft games\halo custom edition\halo.exe" -console -devmode ---OR--- Download a devmode trainer of the site. Here is E3p0's 1.09 devmode trainer: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=5073

That app doesn't work for 1.09, and -console -devmode works just fine, I use it all the time.

I don't know where the myth came from, but Devmode works perfectly without -screenshot. There never was any myth, it's just nice to be able to take screenshots without the prtscrn/paint thing.

If you don't want screenshots you don't need it. The command line I gave enables the most common items people will use. You can use any of the command line commands by themself or in combination depending on what you are trying to accomplish For a full list of the command line options see: Command Line Arguments for Starting Halo CE http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?nid=309Edited by Dennis on Sep 10, 2010 at 04:19 PM

If you use the -screenshot command line argument then the game writes a *.tga file directly to your hard drive in the \screenshots folder when you press the [prntscrn] key. Create another shortcut of your Halo Custom Edition. Which by default should be found here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition. And then just do what you did on your original shortcut: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -console -devmode
