I'm killing myself trying to find out how to fix this error so please can anybody help me out?

I think it has to do with a sound tag? It could be corrupt, just by reading that sound_manager part

I would ask gamma927, Hdoan, Arteen, Donut, or higuy....

that's what I thought, but it happens on every map I open in sapien, and I reripped my sound tags and it still happens, weirdist thing is it'll build the cache file but wont open sapien

My guess is that it's sapien that's messed up. Try getting kormmans "a hobo" version. That might fix it.

One of your sound taks is corrupted or has an improper setting. Tool will allow it to build but the sound will most likely not work in game.

There is nothing wrong with Spaien. Sapien not only has to compile the map in memory but also render it as well which is why it will sometimes catch errors tool won't and some you may not see in game.

If you overwrote your sound tags by extracting them then you most likely extracted a standard tag and it is corrupt. You may need to copy your tags directory to another location then re-install HEK to get the standard set of tags. Either that or make a copy of the senerio then remove sound tags from it using Guerilla until you find the one that is causing it.

I'm gonna try to do the copy and redownload hek thing but it'll take awhile (it takes 40mins to paste 6.18 gb worth of tags in 1 folder :p)

i used to get this error all the time what i did was removed all sound from the scenario (including the bsp) and it usually works, and then i re-add them just before i compile.
