yeah it should work the correct way to write it is:
(ai_kill encountername)
replace encountername with the name of the ai encounter you want to kill.

No. It works absolutely perfectly. You're doing it wrong. If I were to give you "another way", it'd still be the same input. For instance, the ai_erase command. If you can somehow get that to work, then the same would apply for ai_kill.
Explain HOW you're attempting to get it to work, and we can and will easily determine how you're doing it wrong.

here are the three ways to get rid of ai that i know of
there's:
(ai_kill encountername)
(ai_erase encountername)
(ai_kill_silent encountername)
i've used both ai_kill and ai_erase and they both work fine for me.
*once again replace encountername with the name of your encounter.
