go to render settings and in the render output box click range and type in the frames you would like to render. thats from 2010, it might be different in some other version.

Why do people insist on using the forums as a primary source?
My guess is that it is a mindset that in the young, as in less than college age, has yet to be challenged or changed. For many, up until college or some event that forces self sufficiency everything; food, clothing, their schedule, information and knowledge has been given to them for the asking. Key word here in this context is: “asking”. People up to that age have learned to gain knowledge by “asking” which, really, is the correct thing to do, however they have yet to learn how to seek answers by themselves or use available tools like, in my day, the library or now search engines. Obtaining knowledge or information is a learned skill and seeking it unaided is not often mastered until self sufficiency which could be college or other life event.

Either that or they are just lazy PIA’s who like to clutter up the forum.

YOU'RE OLD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH

To answer Hydrogen's question, because I will feed his habit to not search things up himself:

Go in Max, hit Render, and change it to render specific frames. Set the values in the box to 0 - [x] in which x is the final frame. Scroll down where it says what file to save it as, and set that beforehand as ".avi" Then just hit Render and let it go.
