im running Windows 7 64 Bit home Premium!
im trying to host a server with Dev Mode on (for obvious reasons)
but my All Dev Wont turn off Devmode so i can create a sever when im running my Devmode Copy of Halo CE. * "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -Screenshot -console -devmode *
and when i run the version WITHOUT - Devmode Alldev dosnt turn on Devmode and i cant use commands.

please help, any suggestions appreciated.

that version of Dev Mode Works With Halo version 1.09...
I havent yet got any viruses so i presume it fine and i dont have anti Virus DX so. you should be fine.

Howdy.

Decided to give the app a whirl to check it was enabling dev correctly. It works on my PC which is running Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium.

So when you go to check if dev mode is activated, what do you do? Try pressing the console key, and then hit tab. If all the dev commands appear (it will fill the screen) dev mode is working.

Another thing to note, does the Dev.exe application show that "Halo is running"?, this is very important.

Are you sure you are running Halo 1.09 executable? This is also very important, this dev mode will not work with the 1.08 version changer. When you right click the Halo.exe, and go to properties it needs to say version 1.09.

here is a devmode mod that works for version 1.09

just open it, then open halo ce and when its open press ''pg up'' to activate it

then you can type in the devmode commands by pushing the button right under escape :)

Don't use E3p0s, if you have any sense anyways. His stuff is always filled with nasty garbage.

I can't speak for all his software but this one works great :)

Templar is right, E3p0's devmode works fine.

You might not be able to use devmode in regular CE if, oh I don't know, console isn't enabled. BUt I assume it is. I use Alldev (not sure about its info right now, as I'm away from my main computer) on WIndows 7 32-bit running on Parallels 5 for Mac (do not start a discussion about the two platforms. They BOTH suck and they BOTH rock, at the same time usually), and if I can run it, you should be able to do so as well.

I would disable your UAC completely. I hate the Windows UAC because it practically assumes you are so computer-illiterate that you would have to research for hours to figure out what Ctrl+Alt+Delete does...anyways, turn it all the way off and run Alldev as admin. That seems to be the most common solution for programs on Vista and 7.

I think I used to have E3p0's devmode, but it kept saying Halo wasn't running, and created, literally, infinite error dialog boxes that I could not close, and the only way to be rid of them was to spend a couple minutes forcing the program to terminate in Task Manager.

heres a great hack!

search on halomaps.org for 'skys the limit 2.0' and it is NOT JUST a third person hack!! it comes with:

-3rd person
-FoV (Field of View, zooms ur camera in/out)
-Sight Jacker (DO NOT USE WILE IN 3RD PERSON!!)
-Devmode enabler (use after u made a server in an internet game)

When I use that one it used to work but all of a sudden it's saying "Failed to turn on dev"
