I've noticed that nobody has done any Doom style maps. (The Area maps are Doom like, but I mean like a level remake of maybe Doom Episode 1 Mission 1 with Doom weapons and Doom enemies) (someone did remake the Doom II "Nuts" wad, but it has Halo enemies, besides it's a firefight map and not just a big demon fight like the original wad, and also it's always wave 2 and then an exception for me). Would it be possible to do a remake of Doom's first level?

For sure it would be possible, but I imagine a single player level with custom enemies would be challenging to make. For example, the Area maps have custom enemies but none of them are that polished. Doom was my first game so I'd want to see such a map very much. :)
