i just got google sketchup 7 and made a good creation on there and want to convert it to gmax to i can make it a halo level

Sketchup exports .obj files if I remember correctly....
But you're screwed using sketchup and gmax, two crappy programs. :/

gmax is ok.. sketchup is horid maya is great and max is good

You would need Sketchup 7 Pro in order to export it for gmax.

i heard that if you got the students edition you could only use in 3DS max and not import anywhere else...

Huh. I didnt get thaat. All the student version is, is a discounted version for students who 'need' it for school.

Its just a different liscense. The program is identical. You can't sell the stuff you make, but it costs 10% of the price.

WHO gives a crud how i got it but now that i got it when i import it into gmax do i name a peice like maby "level" then attach every thing to it then export it

and define student(im in 9th grade if thats what ur talking about)
